Taofeeq is a Partner in Saffron Professional Services and a Federal Inland Revenue Service Endowed Professor in Tax Law at the Lagos State University.

Taofeeq was previously the Partner/Head of Tax Practice at Ernst & Young West Africa. Prior to this, he had also worked in the Tax Departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte. He is a Professor of Taxation and was Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He had also been the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and was a member of the Value Added Tax Tribunal.

Taofeeq’s academic background has contributed to his extensive knowledge of the Nigerian Tax system which spans over 30 years. His experience covers the full range of services in transfer pricing, company secretarial services, corporate tax advisory services and transaction, indirect tax services, international tax services and tax litigation support services. He also provides legal support in arbitration and mediation services.

Taofeeq holds the LL.B (Hons); Ph.D (Tax Law) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria and a LL.M (Tax) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) of the University of London. Taofeeq is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London, U.K. He is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He is also a Member of the Chartered Management Institute, UK and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria as well as the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) ,Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Chartered Institute of Administration.
